SLED SKIING ALASKA is a snowmobile-assisted backcountry skiing operation where you come to get pitted, and we do our best to find you the best snow conditions of the day.

Our service offers packages of 6 runs a session (about 4 hours), with the option of buying extra runs, each run averaging 1,500 feet of vertical. Using our proven snowmobile shuttling system, we aimed at helping you achieve your backcountry trip goals of the day.

We are highly trained mechanized guides, sled mechanics, and experts on the art of shuttling people up the mountain on snowmobiles. We been around the pass since 2010 and have developed an efficient shuttling system to take skiers and snowboarders to the runs. We know the terrain and its backcountry ski runs very well. We are snow professionals holding AVI science certifications such as the AIARE 2, and the Pro 1 from the American avalanche Association. Also, we hold medical certifications such as CPR, and Wilderness First Responder. Moreover, we are trained on crevasses rescue techniques.

SLED SKIING ALASKA is a very flexible organization and will do its very best to tailor its service to your specific needs. We operate every year during the months of March and April. We are located daily at post mile 29 on the Richardson Highway just outside Valdez, Alaska in the heart of the legendary Chugach Mountains. From here we are able to get you anywhere you want within the Thompson Pass corredor.
